Maggie Sansone is one of America’s premier hammered dulcimer players. She has been

Sansone’s pioneering artistry has fused ancient sounds with modern sensibility and brought
the resonant beauty of the hammered dulcimer to thousands of music lovers around the
world. Especially exciting and inspiring is her innovative integration of old and new instruments.
Sansone has been featured on CBS-TV’s Sunday Morning, and NPR’s All Things
Considered, Performance Today and The Thistle & Shamrock. She has received numerous
awards and nominations including the ANNIE award for Performing Arts (Anne Arundel
County Cultural Arts Foundation, Maryland) and WAMMIE awards for Celtic/Irish
Instrumentalist and Record Label (Washington Area Music Association, Washington D.C.)
Active as a concert producer and performer of traditional Celtic and seasonal music, Sansone
tours throughout the United States performing in a variety of venues from Celtic festivals to
the Kennedy Center concert stages. Sansone is the author of a series of music books published
by Mel Bay Publications and was included in their Hammered Dulcimer Anthology
Series. Sansone is the founder and CEO of the Maggie’s Music record label which features
twelve recording artists and over fifty recordings distributed worldwide, including Sansone’s
