In 1936, Eckhart began the publications of German and Latin critical works. His works basically show only a small portion of idea that he really planned to write. Meister wrote four works that are usually called “treatises”. His great plan was to write Opus Tripartitum, but unfortunately the first part, Work of Propositions only exist today. The other two parts, Work of Questions and Work of Commentaries consist of valuable sermons and commentaries.
