I finished reading this one a while ago and I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. It has definitely stuck with me though so that's a sign of a well told story. In the plus column is the fact that it is well written and the characters are unique and interesting. It has a great pace and will hold your attention. What bothered me about the story is the age of the heroine. While I don't recall ever knowing Jagger's age, Tatiana is only 17 and a victim of abuse from the hands of her father. After having survived that, her getting caught up with someone older and a fighter by nature just didn't feel right to me. Jagger is the rough and ready to fight Caldwell brother and if there is one thing that can really get him fighting mad is seeing a woman abused. So when he hears the sounds of abuse coming from the his landlords apartment he doesn't think twice about stepping in and stopping it. That's were he first sees Tatiana and while his actions get him into some trouble he'd do it all over again. He's ordered to stay away from her but he spends the next several months leaving small gifts for her and watching her from afar. When after another beating happens she runs from her father's home and Jagger is determined to find and help her. Keeping her wasn't the plan but sometimes plans change!

Chelsea Camaron and MJ Fields have done it once again. They take real life tragedies and give you a story where you cry for the heartache, hurt and pain that their characters endure but also the tears of joy that you experience from celebrating the love, loyalty and family ties of everything Caldwell. Jagger the hitmaker Caldwell (aka Jag, Baby C, aka champion) will forever hold a special place as the baby of the family who upholds the Legacy of Momma Caldwell. But, I also feel as though I'm in the midst of a book hangover. The feelings that I'm currently experiencing are simply unbelievable. These ladies have the ability to provide a connection to the characters as well as their circumstances that blows me away! I for one hope there's more to the Caldwell's story in store for us!
