I loved this book it had the amazing ability to draw me in to the writer's world, I thought the climax to the book was great and also tinged with sadness, the first book I have read by this author but certainly not the last as I have just purchased book two in the DI Ridpath series.

I was looking for a new series and Ridpath has rightly filled that role. Loved it. Kept me turning the pages. Winter reading sorted

My first by this author and I'm really impressed. I'm happy I've bought the bundle of the first 3 books as I can carry on reading book 2 now. Good story and ending.

About the author

M J Lee has worked as a university researcher in history, a social worker with Vietnamese refugees, and as the creative director of an advertising agency. He has spent 25 years of his life working outside the north of England, in London, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok and Shanghai.
