This book feels like it was written in the 50's, with its patronizing hero and helpless child heroine. The moments that are meant to show the heroine has grown a spine are underwhelming and make her seem even more pathetic, because they have so little impact in the grand scheme of things. Even after they've both supposedly changed, the hero is still making the major decisions for her, and she allows it because he "knows best". Disgusting.
