About this eBook

A beautiful picture book for sharing and marking special occasions such as graduation, inspired by the life of the first African American woman to travel in space, Mae Jemison. An Amazon Best Book of the Month!

A great classroom and bedtime read-aloud, Mae Among the Stars is the perfect book for young readers who have big dreams and even bigger hearts.

When Little Mae was a child, she dreamed of dancing in space. She imagined herself surrounded by billions of stars, floating, gliding, and discovering.

She wanted to be an astronaut.

Her mom told her, "If you believe it, and work hard for it, anything is possible.”

Little Mae’s curiosity, intelligence, and determination, matched with her parents' encouraging words, paved the way for her incredible success at NASA as the first African American woman to travel in space.

This book will inspire other young girls to reach for the stars, to aspire for the impossible, and to persist with childlike imagination.

Mr. M.M. G.

Texas Educator, once with Dallas ISD and once for Duncanville ISD, this book is a MUST SHARE especially for 2nd language learners to TRADITIONAL ENGLISH, of which MY first language was Spanish. I am an Educator today, in 2023, yet I am homeless because of my DRIVE to TEACH language acquisition, and having also PERSONALLY MET this WRITER, as she SIGNED "my copy of this book at a Dallas ISD school". SINCE THEN, I AM NO LONGER ALLOWED to TEACH at any Dallas ISD school, yet this book STILL inspires me to FIGHT for "MY ONLY CHILD", a daughter of two Hispanic Educators who legally are divorced, YET whom as a Single DIVORCED DAD, still in Dallas TX, I am PRAYING to hopefully SEE one day, in my life time, again. But thats beyond my Legal Divorce Decree also now, and today is March 3, 2023. GOD HELP ME! Mr. Mike G.
