2 1/2 Stars...I accepted all 3 books, but had I known what I know now, I wouldn't have. This trilogy could have easily been told in one book. The storyline drug on and on, too long, and uninteresting. I got it, Marie's mother was a horrible person, both verbally and physically abusive and Marie is trapped. Matteo is the one bright spot in her life, but he is an enigma. Too long, too boring. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is not all about sunshine and rainbows which means it isn't always an easy read. I found myself very intrigued by the start of Marie and Matteo story and that cliffy left me definitely wanting more. Ultimately, I feel like we're just getting started but it's going to be really worth it in the end.

Warning this is the first story in a series and therefor does end in a cliffhanger. The story is slow to get going and a little depressing as we get to see what Maria has been dealing with. Her mother has been verbally and physically abusive to Maria. She thinks she can escape to college but her mother becomes sick and now is even more abusive.
