Quelques mots sur l'auteur

David Webster's career started with Webster Publishing over 25 years ago, where he was in charge of developing interactive training software, multimedia CDs/DVDs and encyclopaedias.

During this time, Webster Publishing were early pioneers in the interactive training industry, creating what started out as MS-DOS based graphical interactive training in the early 1990s. This evolved into Windows based interactive training.

During this time, David was involved in classroom training, as well as authoring a number of books.

Throughout the 1990s, Webster Publishing moved into multimedia CD-ROMS. David created the software used to create CD-ROMs, and to help put the CD-ROMS/DVDs together. Titles included: Webster's World Encyclopedia, Webster's Encyclopedia of Australia, Mammals of Australia, Reptiles of Australia, Birds of Australia, Frogs of Australia, Great Barrier Reef, New Car Buyers Guide, and many more.

During this process, David became very involved with HTML5, JavaScript, and in particular programming that involved images and videos. He wrote many programs to help batch size, compress, sort, and crop images and video automatically.

In the 1990s, David wrote the original CorelDRAW! 3 Demo Disk, shipped worldwide by Corel, as well as a Microsoft Excel 4 demo disk for Microsoft Australia.

In 2000, David began his own company, Kookaburra Studios Pty Ltd, to create the e-learning software known as KnowledgePresenter.

This software allows anyone to create interactive e-learning and presentations that were HTML based.

This was initially released in 2002. Over the next ten years, it was sold into thousands of clients around the world.

Around 2005, he released a Learning Management System, KP Learner Manager Enterprise. This product allowed companies to deploy training, manage users, and keep a track of all training, run reports, etc.
