Dar, indiferent dacă găsește satisfacții sau decepții, eroina întotdeauna savurează gustul viu și plin de ardoare al jocului. Vanda, femeia modernă, femeia de afaceri iese dintr-o căsnicie searbădă și neîmplinită. Descătușată de restricții legale și morale, de prejudecăți și norme societale, ea se avantă în vârtejul periculos al dragostei întâmplatoare.

Vanda este surferul pasionat care încearcă să prindă cele mai prielnice valuri pe oceanul vieții, sperând să se ridice la înălțimi amețitoare. Iar noi cititorii, surfăm cu ea pe aceeași placă, urcând și coborând pe coamele valurilor marine, simțind aceleași emoții și senzații care o copleșesc și pe ea. Vanda este în căutarea iubirii, a acestei enigme a ființei umane, ce dizolvă tot ce-i stă în cale: rațiune, credință, logică, moraluri. Iubirea se exprimă prin pasiune, dar pasiunea este oarbă. Oare suntem destinați să iubim doar când suntem orbi? Oare a iubi este o vină sau un dar divin?

Between desire and reason...an old problem for the contemporary woman. Vanda, a psychologist in private practice in Romania, feels free and uninhibited after the end of a boring and unfulfilling marriage. She foolishly jumps into the risky game of passionate love in hope of finding the ideal life partner. Only to find out that giving full love to others does not necessarily provides sincere love in return.

Vanda is enslaved by her own desires. She is simply pushed in new relationships by a seductive attraction to the opposite sex. She is incapable of giving full consideration to potential negative outcomes of her actions. In search for the perfect partner, she is driven by haste and passion, not by reason. However, Vanda is sincere in love, drinking each time the chalice of pleasure, thrill and excitement to the bottom.

Only when the first signs of difficulties show up, does she wonder what has happened: is she the cause of her own troubles? Or the men she deals with are not worthy of her love? How come she can advise her patients on understanding and managing their own feelings, yet she is unable to councel herself in similar cases? 

In this process of trial and error, of being torn between desire and reason, Vanda grows and matrures emotionally. Will she succeed in the end?

Superb Roman De Dragoste! Am început să citesc acest roman fiind curios de titlul său intrigant. Pe măsură ce dădeam paginile, interesul meu creștea și eram din ce in ce mai satisfăcut ca cititor. Ca bărbat am ințeles suferința femeii dincolo de ce se vede pe dinafară. Vanda a avut curaj să meargă înainte după un divorț în cautarea omului care să o iubească. Dacă a reușit, o să vedeți numai în cazul în care o să citiți romanul pe care vi-l recomand cu căldură!

Mara is authoring fiction about contemporary women Issue, such as relationships, emotions, identity, roles in society, etc. Her audience are women all over the world. Two of her novels have beein published in print in Romania this spring.
