Marcus Shaw, Boston native, born to Lamont and Delilah Shaw in the winter of 1976. He is the son of a preacher and the second eldest of six children. Although, his late father departed at Marcuss adolescent age of eight, he left him with a sense of insight and clarity of his path out the streets and into the suites. His newly published book entitled, South Beach Politics, recounts the culmination of his journey from being Miamis nightlife outsider, to a four hundred South Beach hot shot. Before adventuring to college, while in high school, Shaws self-determination launched him into a full basketball scholarship at a world-renowned prep school. Thereafter, Beantowns crme de la crme broke out in the late 90s as Bostons own admirable print model and high fashion poster boy. At 6 4, with a fearless stature and a heart melting smile; model/athlete became Shaws repertoire. Unexpectedly, Shaw burst on the scene, out the thick of urban Roxbury, through the doorway of mainstream Boston, behold he was a diamond in the rough. This Scorpio brother is brassy and magnetic. While at Barry University in Miami, Florida he studied advertising, with a concentration in marketing. What better way to hit the ground running than learning the red ropes? Shaw was electrified by the nightlife economy from the moment he touched down. Initially, Shaw was shunned by South Beachs nightlife. Miami had no regard for his Whos Who of Boston image. Later, rather than sooner, Shaw became a nightlife socialite and entrepreneur on the scene. He started as a busboy, then waiter, party promoter, onto VIP Head Host. In his highly anticipated writing, South Beach Politics, Shaw writes a nightlife road map for visitors and new residents.
