About this ebook

In this sexy friends to lovers romance, shy Ailis falls for her rising rock star, Hunter.

Fame comes with a price, one she isn’t sure she’s ready to pay.

Ailis couldn’t be more dissimilar from aspiring rock star Hunter. Quiet to his loud, calm to his frantic, innocent to his experience, bookish to his street smart; they have no common ground. Except for the fact that Ailis’s boyfriend just ran away with Hunter’s fiancée.

With one impulsive kiss, everything changes and opposites suddenly attract. Ailis’s feelings toward Hunter turn to serious lust…and more. But falling for a musician isn’t a good idea. She’s already left behind a life on the road once before, in favor of planting roots close to her family.

But is home a place? Or is it where her heart resides?

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** February Stars is the second book in the Wilder Irish series (second generation of the Wild Irish series). Ailis Adams (AKA Mouse) grew up the child of famous parents, constantly on a tour bus with her parents and her sister. Ailis is quiet, introspective, and invisible. When she goes to college she meets Paul, who she thinks she's in love with and settles in Baltimore because of him. When she comes home to a Dear John (or Dear Ailis) letter after six years of being with Paul she's floored. Hunter is outspoken, wild, flies by the seat of his pants. Hunter Morgan is engaged to Rhonda, Ailis best friend and has been best friends with Paul since they were kids. So when he comes home to his John Dear letter, he's enraged. Ailis and Hunter are opposites. But do opposites really attract? I really enjoyed this book tremendously. It was such a fun, fast, read that was very difficult to put down. If you like hot and steamy, don't worry this book will not disappoint. The characters are very enjoyable, just because Ailis doesn't want to be in the spotlight does not mean she is meek or passive. She's actually a very strong woman and I was pleasantly surprised. Hunter, though wild, is an alpha male, but not to extreme's. The chemistry really works between them well in the book. This book can be easily read as a standalone. The author does a great job of making sure you know who everyone is and where they fit. If you aren't new to this series, you will get to see some of the old characters which I really enjoy. Overall loved this book and can't wait for the next book in the series. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

Opposites attract or friends to lovers, either one is the trope for this story, but really what it is is a realization of your potential and embracing your inner strength. Both our leads had put the other in a neat box in their mind, and they happily stayed in that box where everyone had put them. That is until life dealt them the same blows, and they bonded over that. As their friendship grew and their hearts mended, so did their awareness of the other outside of that box and more than just a friend. A few more steps were needed before they accepted the inevitable, and they got the HEA they deserved from the start!

A bad breakup leads to an unexpected friendship. Ailis's boyfriend and Hunter's fiance run away together, leaving behind a note. Ailis and Hunter console each other, and in the process become best friends. Ailis is lost. She lost herself in her relationship, then it failed. Now she doesn't know who she is. After years of devoting herself to his wants and needs, and burying herself, she has to now discover who she is and what she wants from life. Hunter also put aside a huge part of who he was while in his relationship. After the relationship ends, he decides to resurrect his music career. As Hunter's friend, Ailis sees an opportunity, and does her best to push him towards it. Spending time together leads to changes in their feelings, but Ailis is scared, and resistant. Hunter definitely has his work cut out for him! This was a fun story in the Wilder Irish series. I enjoyed the interactions between Hunter and Ailis, and their smoking hot connection! I loved the way they stuck together through everything, despite doubts, and criticisms, and outside influences. Friendship is an amazing basis for a relationship, and these two blew that out of the water!
