Very inspiring read. Several times during the read, I could not help but kneel down and pray and ask God to forgive my sins and heal me. Ideas from this book have been in my mind constantly since reading it and is inspiring me to be a better person. The first time I read it, I could not put it down.

About the author

Marietta Davis (1823–1848) was only twenty-five years old when she fell into a deep sleep for nine days while her spirit visited the eternal world. Upon her return to consciousness, she put her spiritual vision into words—a vision of heaven and hell that we have today in the form of Caught Up into Heaven.
She died seven months after her vision, just as she had predicted. Her departure was marked by her singing a hymn with her family; by the hymn’s end she had passed on. The hymn that began with her friends on earth undoubtedly concluded with the angels in heaven.
Marietta lived with her mother and sisters in Berlin, New York, where they attended a Baptist church.
