After a devastating break up, Kennedy has the chance of a lifetime to do something more with her life – just for her, so she travels across the country to start over and take over a thriving bakery shop that specializes in everything apple. She has some big shoes to fill, but she is up to the challenge. Her plan hits a rough spot however, when Luke appears on the scene and needs the apples for his cider business from the orchard that Kennedy needs to keep her business intact. It’s a battle for apples and the prize is unexpected love. This was my very first time to read something written by Marina Adair, but after reading Last Kiss of Summer, I am sitting here wondering why. From the very first paragraph, I fell in love with Ms. Adair’s writing. She has a stunning way with words and I was completely captivated with this charming story that was both engaging and refreshing. I loved all the characters but especially loved the small town feel of Destiny Bay and can’t wait to revisit it in the next book. This was a great read and a spectacular start to what looks like will be an outstanding series! This story has it all – great characters, lovely story, charming setting and good old fashioned romance. I highly recommend Last Kiss of Summer if you love a light-hearted romance that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

I was worried starting this that I wouldn't love Destiny Bay as much as I love St. Helena's. Was I ever wrong. I am so in love with the quirky, quaint little town of Destiny Bay and Kennedy and Luke's story was a great one to start the series off! Luke Callahan is back in Destiny Bay determined to make his new business a success. With his father's hard cider recipe and his family's apples it's a sure thing. One little problem. His mother has made a deal with the town's newest resident, Kennedy Sinclair, giving her the rights to 3 acres of prime apple orchard. Apples he very much needs. Kennedy needed a fresh start and coming to Destiny Bay was the best bet. No way will she let the very handsome and sexy Luke Callahan keep her from making a success of her business. If he wasn't so adorable and charming she could resist him. Definitely. Probably. Maybe? Their relationship may start out a bit rocky but the spark between them doesn't take long to ignite. You don't want to miss these two finding their way. I highly recommend this one!

I loved Luke and Kennedy they are very likeable, fun, hot with lots of chemistry for each other. The Destiny Bay series is going to be fantastic, I can't wait for the second in this series.
