This is an amazing series!!! I could not put this book down! I read it whenever I got the time. I've already started recommending this to my friends and coworkers. The world building, the characters, the plot, everything is incredibly well written! I loved the action, the suspense, the feelings, the way it kept me on the edge of my seat, just.... ugh this is such an amazing book, heck, both of them are! I'm so glad I came across them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this authors writers style. Too often we only get a one sided one dimensional view of the story. But he writes the story seamlessly from one character to the next. My only complaint - rune gate cycle series is far to short! I hope one day the author resists this world and writes another 2-3 books!

Not as good as book 1 where Alex was the main character. I would have preferred she remained as the lead protagonist.

Mark E. Cooper lives in a small town in the south of England, where he writes most mornings and evenings. His background is in mechanical engineering where he spent over thirty years working for Ford. He loves reading science fiction, epic fantasy, or urban fantasy and particularly likes strong female characters overcoming dire situations and tough obstacles. He can often be found laughing to himself as he listens to an audiobook on his iPod while typing like a fiend.

His hobbies include Shelby Cobras—he built a Dax replica of the famous car with his best friend in the early 90s—reading, and maintaining his blog. He is now the authorof over ten titles written in the genres he loves to read.
