This book is a terrific read! The staging of the plot and introduction of it's characters flowed so very smoothly that you didn't get mired down in a lot of descriptive narrative. The pages kept turning for me like they had a will of their own and at times I found myself holding my breath with an accelerated heart rate! I certainly hope to be reading the stories of Push (everyone should have a best friend like him by the way), and Thorn. Something tells me we haven't heard the last of her! Well done Mark Eric. Well Done!!

It's always refreshing to read something that breaks away from the myriad of fantasy books that have taken over the world of literature. Benders has romance, friendship, action, comedy and suspense we all love from the world of books and all while rooted in the very world we live in NOW. There is never a dull moment and shifts in points of view will paint a picture so vivid that you simply can't put the book down because you want to know what happens to this wonderfully written cast next. A must read!

Mark Eric, an up and coming indie novelist, bursts onto today's fictional landscape with a refreshing blend of realistic heroes within larger than life plots. Eric's writing career has spanned 20 years across multiple genres and media. Fans will be delighted with his range and unique tales. His dynamic multicultural casts reflect the rising demand in American entertainment for a richer, more diverse mix of age, race, gender, and socioeconomic status.

Eric's first release, Benders, is contemporary fiction of a gifted young Black man being pursued by one of the country's most politically influential men. His second novel, Charlie, is set to release late 2014, and a collection of his poetry will be released Summer 2014. Two other novels are also in the works for 2015. Eric will be filling our traditional and digital bookshelves for years to come.
