Seven types of information are provided in this book for each of the Items in Categories 1 through 6:

6.      An explanation of some potential adverse consequences that an organization might face if it fails to implement processes required by each Item.

About the author

Mark L. Blazey is president of Quantum Performance Group, a management consulting and training firm specializing in organization assessment and high-performance systems development. Dr. Blazey has an extensive background in quality systems. For six years he served as an examiner and senior examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He also served as the lead judge for Baldrige-based awards for the U.S. Army Communities of Excellence Award, New York State, Vermont, Delaware, and Aruba, and judge for the Wisconsin Forward and the national quality award for the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living. Dr. Blazey has participated on and led numerous site visit teams for national, state, and company-private quality awards and audits over the past 20+ years. Dr. Blazey has trained thousands of quality award examiners and judges for state and national quality programs, as well as managers and examiners for schools, health care organizations, major businesses, and government agencies. He is a senior member and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) of the American Society for Quality.
