About this ebook

For countless millennia, no man or beast has ever succeeded in breaching the stone gateway into Girdlegard. Until now . . .

Abandoned as a child, Tungdil the blacksmith is the only dwarf in a kingdom of men. But when he is sent out into the world to deliver a message and reacquaint himself with his people, the young foundling finds himself thrust into a battle for which he has not been trained. Not only his own safety, but the life of every man, woman and child in Girdlegard depends upon his ability to embrace his heritage.

Although he has many unanswered questions, Tungdil is certain of one thing: no matter where he was raised, he is a true dwarf.

And no one has ever questioned the courage of the Dwarves.

The international bestselling fantasy epic now available in English for the first time.

I am not a big reader, so for me this book was a bit of an epic. I found myself wanting to find out what Tungdil got up to next. It was a gripping read and really got me excited to pick up the book. It was so enjoyable, I actually bought the second book and have just finished reading it. Can't say fairer than that.

This series really draws you in and ignites the imagination taking you along the path of both hero and villain. They all have their side of the story to tell. Thoroughly enthralling. It was like a good meal that you don't want to finish because you relish every bite. I relished every page. Thanks for the adventure Kindest regards Mr G. Blacklock
