About this ebook

Did you know that fresh parsley leaves contain more vitamin C than oranges, lavender can be used for eczema, or that red raspberries help with morning sickness?

This book is different because it provides step-by-step instructions for extracting the medicinal properties within herbs and plants. It also shows you how to use those properties to improve your health.

Included with the 393 individual herb and plant profiles are “how to” chapters for creating individualized herbal products and quick reference sections for alternative solutions to medical ailments. Also provided within the pages are the precautions, safety guidelines, and recipes for treatment applications.

The ability to ease suffering, shorten the duration, or eliminate an affliction is a desire shared by everyone. You will use this book more often than any cook book or medical hand book.

Good health to you and yours.

About the author

Realizing the sacrifices that are required to maintain a big city lifestyle this Colorado native, Marla Purcelley and her husband of 28 years made the decision to change life's priorities. They moved and now reside in a small town in the San Luis Valley where they started what they termed their second life.

Marla has always possessed a caretaker gene and it surfaced when an ailing parent was in need. She, like so many other caretakers do, started researching options and help.

Her passion for botany and gardening was fueled by the options and remedies she found that offered relief and a better quality of life to her mom. During the years that followed Marla obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Health. She also started compiling nutrition and herbal health data into notebooks. She claimed it eliminated the tedious task of locating the information again.

Those personal notebooks are now the book you are holding. It was never her desire to be an author. Her self-worth is defined by the small gestures of sharing garden goodies with her neighbors over the fence or helping a friend with a laborious task. She has commented "If only one person can benefit from this book, it will be worth the effort it took to put it together."

Only the persuasion from her husband to publish her personal compendium of herbal data has this book happened. She continues to add to her compendium to this day.
