Zusammenfassung aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europas - Neuzeit, Absolutismus, Industrialisierung, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Referat Informationskompetenz), Veranstaltung: Seminar Informationskompetenz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen der Wahlpflichtveranstaltung "Informationskompetenz" erstelltes Portfolio, das einen Überblick über die Recherchemedien im Fach Geschichte, speziell im Bereich Neuere und Neueste Geschichte, gibt. In der vorliegenden Beispielrecherche möchte ich den Prozess der Themenfindung, das Thema und die Literatursuche darstellen. Es handelt sich um eine Hausarbeit, die im Rahmen des Basiskurses "Im Laboratorium der Moderne. Einführung in die britische Geschichte des 19. Jahrhunderts" im Modul Neuere und Neueste Geschichte im Jahr 2013 entstanden ist.
About the author
Marlene Weber studied English literature and linguistics as well as history in her BA-programme at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She focuses mainly on revolutions, Victorian England and the Jacobite Rising. For her graduation thesis, she wrote about the Scottish author Sir Walter Scott and the American author Diana Gabaldon ("Outlander"), focusing on how Scottish culture is established through textual means. She is currently involved in a one-year MA-programme at LMU to become a literary translator for English into German.
