This is book four of the series but was my first and I didn't in any way feel lost. Hayden is a firefighter and the son of a prominent senator. Saylor is the owner of an animal rescue and the hidden daughter of another prominent senator. They meet at a wedding of mutual friends and hit it off. They have an incredible night together and get married but in the morning Hayden remembers nothing. The truth comes out when Hayden's father gives him an ultimatum about his future. I loved Hayden and Saylor's interactions with each other. While I wish she didn't keep their marriage for as long as she did, I loved the progression of their relationship and the protectiveness Hayden felt for Saylor. I'll definitely go back and read the other books in this series! *This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy.*

I found this to be an excellent read. Very enjoyable story with great characters and pace. Hayden is happy with his simple life working as a captain for the fire department, unattached, and free. His father doesn't agree. He was always suppose to follow down the family path and enter politics and now he's pressuring Hayden to step up and run for office. Saylor is a free spirited, quirky soul who runs the local animal shelter. These two meet at a friends wedding and have one incredible night. Too bad Hayden doesn't remember any of it. The next morning when it's clear to Saylor that Hayden remembers nothing of what happened the day before she doesn't bother to fill him in. Although there is one little thing that happened that he probably should know about. One little detail like the fact they got married. Hayden doesn't understand why but he knows that he is inexplicably drawn to Saylor and the more time they spend together the more he wants from her. How will Saylor ever tell him the truth now?? A fun easy read with little angst, lots of passion, and a bunch of humor. Definitely a book I would recommend.

I absolutely adored this story!!! The characters were fantastic. Especially Saylor, who was endearingly ditzy. I also enjoyed seeing how things are going with Hunter and Eva from "Take the Fall" as Eva was one of my favorite characters before I met Saylor!!! This book has just enough intrigue and angst to keep you wondering what is going to happen next, along with some super sweetness and some very hot, sexy times!!!! Once again, Marquita Valentine has given her readers a fantastic book!!!
