Hudson

From the moment Anna Charlotte stormed into my bar and demanded answers from me, I hadn’t been able to get her out of my mind. She was infuriating, and she had no right to question the way I ran my business. Who did she think she was?

Just because her son was one of my employees, she didn’t get to stick her nose in. She could sit her curvy, cute butt on a stool and stew, but she couldn’t say a peep.

Who was I kidding? Anna didn’t know how to sit still and not talk. Or complain. Or instruct me to fix all the things I was doing wrong. Which seemed to be everything.

There was only one way to shut her up. And it was damn effective.

Anna

Trust was a four-letter word in my life. Whenever I thought I could trust someone, they taught me real quick that I was wrong. So, why would I trust Hudson Grant? He owns a bar, for crying out loud. He wasn’t looking out for my son’s best interest.

It didn’t matter that his grades had improved since starting to work for Hudson. Or that he was focused on his future. Or that he helped out at home without being asked and did his homework and helped his brother. None of that had to do with Hudson.

Right?

It couldn’t. That wasn’t who he was. I knew men like him. Men who were only interested in one thing. Men who didn’t care if they broke your heart. Men who…were nothing like Hudson Grant.

Hudson is a caring bar owner who finds his match in the woman he doesn't want to like but see there something. Anna has raised her two boys, by herself. She is strong and determined with wall around that it difficult to breakdown. The push and pull between Hudson and Anna helps ignite the chemistry between them. This is a great story that grabs you in from the start. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hudson is constantly fixing and not asking for anything in return to those he knows. He understands the struggle but Ann makes his blood boil and simmer. Ann is a single mom and Penny pinches because of her past. She has such a thick wall that she seems to be such a pessimist it is frustrating. Hudson is attracted and knows it with the dreams he has. He needs to keep his hands to himself until he gets the ok. At this rate it will never happen. Good read even if it is frustrating Ann won’t relax.

About the author

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Mary E Thompson spent most of her childhood wishing she had a few less curves. She hid in the pages of books because her favorite characters never cared what size her clothes were. Now, neither does Mary, and she writes stories that celebrate women like her. Real women who have curves, chase dreams, and find love, because we should all be happy, no matter our dress size.

Mary spends her non-writing time with her husband and two kids, watching too much TV, cheering for her hometown football team (Go Bills!), and hiding chocolate from her family.
