About the author

Mary Jo Disler recently retired from 27 years as an adjunct instructor, guitar, at Detroit area colleges. She initiated courses in beginning guitar at Mercy College of Detroit and The University of Michigan - Dearborn. Ms. Disler is a Charter Member of the Guitar Foundation of America and earned three degrees in music. In addition to private teaching and publishing for classic guitar, she is an active church organist.
