About this eBook

Benjamin Nash, Marquess of Creslow, must marry, for he is the last of the family line. Desirous of a business arrangement instead of a love match, he hires a matchmaker, only to learn she’s the widow he nearly seduced during a house party. Though attraction still simmers between them, he agrees to keep their relationship professional.

After the death of her philandering husband left her a pauper, Rebecca Sweet finds financial hope as a matchmaker. Engaged with her first real client, she’s stymied by his requirement that love is not allowed—and by the fact that she can’t stop thinking of his kisses.

But when they seek to find his bride at her hometown’s matchmaking festival, she must face the guilt of her past. The marquess’s surprising support makes her wonder if she could take a second chance on love. Too bad he’s only interested in a casual affair. She needs to find him a bride before she loses her heart forever.

This was a really fun read. Benjamin and Rebecca were a delightful couple. The pull of attraction that zinged between them was obvious and I was quickly all out rooting for them. Their romance offers a smartly crafted blend of emotion, drama, humor, heart, and heat that read smoothly and gave me a lot of feels. This is my objective review that I am posting of my own accord.

The widow and the almost rake… Rebecca, a destitute widow of an unhappy marriage, meets Benjamin Nash late at night in a library at a house party. Things progress quickly in their night clothing. But it’s only when Rebecca is tasked with finding Nash a wife at the Marrywell festival that things get…complicated. She’s his match maker and he’d definitely like to match her. Steam and character development. Recommend.
