The contributors to this volume examine concepts of materiality in dance and performance, the use of materials in artistic practices and the role of social media in changing the perception of time-based artefacts. The volume shows how the focus on materiality transforms contemporary artistic work and challenges established concepts of dance and performance research.
作者简介
Gabriele Klein hat seit 2022 die Professur für Ballett und Tanz (»Hans van Manen Chair«) an der Universität Amsterdam/Niederlande inne. Von 2002 bis 2023 war sie Professorin für Soziologie von Bewegung, Tanz und Performance Studies an der Universität Hamburg. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Kultur- und Sozialtheorie sowie Geschichte von Körper, Bewegung, Tanz und Performance, zeitgenössische Tanz- und Performancekunst, urbane Bewegungskulturen und populäre Tanzkulturen.
