I loved the third installment of this series and have thoroughly enjoyed reading Hunolf's development as a killer with a conscious. All of Matthew Harffy's characters in this series are vibrant and interesting and and I am genuinely invested in their fates. And his historical accuracy and ability to recreate the past is top notch. This series and basically anything Harffy writes definitely stands out as some of the best in historical fiction . I can't wait for the next installment. Ricky Lindsey

About the author
Matthew Harffy grew up in Northumberland where the rugged terrain, ruined castles and rocky coastline had a huge impact on him. He now lives in Wiltshire, England, with his wife and their two daughters. Matthew is the author of the critically acclaimed Bernicia Chronicles and A Time for Swords series, and he also presents the popular podcast, Rock, Paper, Swords!, with fellow author Steven A. McKay.
