4.5* Cold, the second installment in the Stone Cold Fox trilogy by Max Monroe, is just as awesome, if not more so, than Stone. Picking right up from where Stone ended, with Ivy so angry and broken hearted, and Levi frustrated and angry with himself, set on making things right between them. The chemistry and passion between these two ratchets up a notch in this book, leaving them both not knowing if they are coming or going! Such intense feelings were brought out and laid bare, there was no way to guess what we were in for next. I loved the progression of Levi in this book. Ivy was so mad at him, so hateful towards him at times even, but he didn’t let that stop him in his pursuit of her. He knew he had screwed up big time and he wanted nothing more to make it up to her. I was really happy with how he opened up, sharing things with Ivy that he had kept closed off for the past six years. Ivy wasn’t taking it easy on Levi, and even though I couldn’t blame her for the most part, I was a little surprised at how kind of awful and spiteful she could be. She did her best to close herself off from him, but Levi, when he sets his intentions on you, is a hard one to deny. I was even more on edge reading this book than I was with Stone. I was completely riveted! I knew something big was coming, (the anxiety was real!) but what it was I did not know. There was a time when I thought I had something worked out in my head, but Max Monroe completely threw me for a twist! It’s no secret that this book ends on a cliffhanger, and lord have mercy I’ve never wanted a month to fly by so quickly. Honestly, with the way Cold ended I’m not sure where MM plans to take us in Fox, but I for one will be along for the ride!

Was I sad to see this trilogy come to an end off course I was but what a perfect book to end the Stone Cold Fox Trilogy on. The writing duo of Max Monroe have once again shown us just how talented and diverse they are. Stone and Cold gave us suspense and mystery and in Fox we get to see just where life has taken Levi and Ivy and after the roller coaster ride we have been on with this couple Fox gave us just what we needed a ending to their love story. I shed a few tears for this couple over the course of the three books but book three gave me closure and left me feeling all fuzzy inside and for me that’s a perfect way to end a series on. Levi is Ivy’s rock he is there through thick and thin through life and death and he never once let his own demons take over even though he was still healing after Grace’s death. Ivy try’s her hardest to push him away in this last book but deep down she knows the only person who can get her through the devastating loss of her sister is her soul mate Levi. This trilogy is about love, passion, life and death, it’s full of intrigue and mystery but more than anything it’s about light at the end of a tunnel and about life moving on even when the pain is so great we don’t want to move on. Thank you Max Monroe for giving us a brillant trilogy so different and unique. If you haven’t one clicked this series I suggest you jump it now because this trilogy is a must read.

We were promised an epic conclusion to the Stone Cold Fox Trilogy, and we were given just that! Like the two previous books in the series, Fox reveals an entirely different and unexpected aspect to Max Monroe’s writing style. Whereas the first two were more suspenseful that included shocking and unbelievable cliffhangers, this book showcases extremely raw and realistic emotions and delves into the heartbreaking turmoil of loss and despair. Fox is a devastatingly poignant expression of love and hope. The story concludes the turbulent journey of two people who’ve suffered some of the worst tragedies anyone can endure in life, encompassing the true value of the meaning of life and love. This trilogy came out of nowhere and, in my opinion, is the best work to-date by the authors. Fox had me in tears more times than I can remember, breaking and healing my heart at the same time. All it takes is to read the first sentence of this powerful story to know you won’t be the same after reading it. The unimaginable circumstances and struggles both characters experience makes their unique relationship that much more intense and passionate. This conclusion is one to be remembered and leaves a breathtaking impression of unrelenting loyalty and devotion. Read this book. Better yet, read this entire series. Suspense, heartbreak, love, and acceptance overflows the pages of this emotionally impacting romance series…you do not want to pass them up! 5 Stars!
