Mack is one of Mama Mae's. Mack has been through a lot and he wants to stay hidden and alone. He has been in town a couple years. Lily has lived in Mustang Mountain her whole life. She and Mack crossed paths once. There was chemistry but he is a loner. They work on a town event together and realize what is possible. There is some drama and angst but it is pretty light and it is reasonable. The writing is very well done and the flow is easy and smooth. This is a nice, quick, fun read. Mack was a firefighter that ended up scared after a fire. He now lives a secluded life, hiding from the townspeople so they don't stare at his scars. He's also full of guilt. He now raises and breeds snow dogs. Lily is a caterer in town. A matchmaker sets her up with Mack. Their relationship begins slow. Lily is offered a great. This leads her to move to another town. Once Mack learns that Lily will be leaving, they end their thing. Lily makes moves her for her new job. She finds she really misses Mack. Mack wakes up and shows up at Lily’s place lookinh for another chance. Will they be able to agree to begin again, and obtain their HEA? This was a wonderful, quick book that I enjoyed! This is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. This book focuses on Mack and Lily. Mack is a former firefighter with some serious scars - inside and out. He is a loner on the mountain and rarely talks to people because of his scars. When he meets Lily, he wants to get to know her better. Lily likes the idea of getting to know Mack better but recognizes that it will be a process. This book was a fantastic read. All of th
