Raised with old money from a company started three generations ago with one casino that her grandfather turned into twenty properties. Modelling since she was twelve. Enough clothes, jewelry and shoes to fill three bedrooms of a house, about to graduate from Yale and a dutiful daughter. Mistakes have been made. One that is alluded to in her past that almost destroyed her family. The second was going out partying on a Friday night shortly after her twenty-first birthday and having an almost one night affair. She wasn't home to receive the continual phone calls from her father only to find out the next morning from her Grandfather that her father had passed away during the night. The funeral has been held, her mother is falling off the wagon again with drink and she's lost. She's always had her father there to tell her what needs to be done. He was who she depended on when she needed answers. She was his princess even if her and her mother never got along. Now her duty as a Felton daughter was being imposed almost nine years early, she didn't know what to do and had no one to ask for advice or guidance. Ella Miles has once again shown how powerful an author she is. This storyline flowed quickly immersing me into the world of the Felton's and their casinos. The characters were so relatable they felt like someone you would know personally. The emotional rollercoaster and sexual tension between Kinsley and Killian is a slow burn building until it engulfs the pages. The plot, or what I thought was a plot, takes a quick left turn with a heart stopping cliff hanger making me immediately want to grab book two. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is book one of this series, so beware cliffhanger ahead. This was a good read for me. I really liked Killian, the main male character. In my opinion he really made the book. Kinsley, the main female character was just OK. I did not think she was very likable and in total was just too immature and spineless. The plot though is good and kept my interest with plenty of twists and turns. I am interested in seeing what happens in the next book.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Kingsley is always doing the right thing by her parents and grandfather. Killian works for the family business for Kingsleys father, so he was given the opportunity of a lifetime, marry Kingsley and he would become CEO which Killian agreed, even though he did not want to marry her. There is twists and turns, rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you wanting more. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.
