Ratings and reviews

This was my first time reading a book by this author. I enjoyed it overall. Some things seemed repetitive, but a good read, no less. My main problem was Poppy's easy capitulation, and the fact that she was the one making all the effort. The heroine, too easy, and her love interest?... too easily an a$@hole! He really didn't work hard enough to truly deserve her, but that seemed to be sadly acceptable.... I want the women I read about to KNOW their WORTH! That's what's wrong with some books pertaining to romance.

I met the word "damn" about 10 times in one chapter plus the story is very predictable. The simple love story could be good would it be mixed with deep emotions and beautiful language. But it didn't happen in this book.

It's not edge-of-your-seat reading, but it's good. The author brought the characters to life and she told a good story. I always give things the one chapter test. if it's good enough that I want to read the second chapter then it's worthy of a decent review.
