About the author

Meg McKinlay is a children's writer and poet based near Fremantle, Western Australia. She has published eighteen books for young people as well as a collection of poetry for adults, with her children's writing ranging from picture books through to young adult fiction. Meg has a PhD in Japanese Literature and was previously an academic at the University of Western Australia. These days, she writes full-time, juggling poetry and prose in between as many trips to the beach as she can manage.
