Ratings and reviews

This was the worst volume of the series by far. There was way too much filler and side stories, only about 30 of the 200+ pages of this book were actually worth reading. I'm also disappointed that the author decided now was a good time to go back in time to the development of the Abyss at such an interesting part of the overall plot. On the bright side there were a few really good chapters in this book and there were many chapters dedicated to individual characters that we haven't seen much from yet. Even so, these chapters were still pretty boring and predictable because all they really did was talking about how much they love their master which we already know.

I like the main story but in this volume most of the story is side / extra story, there are 8 extra story and about 6 past story! It's just too much side content. I wish the next book focus more on the main story and not the filler story😕

it wasn't horrible but most of the story isnt about the present the current story and the rest is about a side character you could honestly skip this book entirely and the only thing you would miss is the death of 4 dark elves and a alliance being mentioned
