I really liked the main characters of this story as well as the secondary ones because they make a real-life tapestry of two lives - families, friends, enemies... I am a fan of Ava because she is independent and stubborn, and still, she manages to deal with everything life gives her. She is smart too but that doesn't quite help her with her attraction towards Rhett. I liked him although he was too ideal at times with all his generosity and showing his desire towards her. Their interactions were great even when they weren't all positive. The style got me reading and reading and the story was very difficult to put down. I'm the author of The Blackwood Series. I grew up as a book worm, reading anything and everything and still try to read at least a book a week. I've always had an active imagination. Luckily, I now have time to put it to good use into stories that are constantly swarming around in my head.
