I have been looking forward to this book and was so happy with it. Violet has been a mystery forever and finally getting to know all of her was fantastic!! I am so glad her and Andre were able to find eachother, even though it was a bit of a surprise.

4.25 stars-- BAYSIDE ESCAPE is the fourth instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult LOVE IN BLOOM: BAYSIDE SUMMERS erotic, romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends and family in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. This is Dr. Andre Shaw, and artist/inn owner Violet Vancroft’s story line. BAYSIDE ESCAPE, and subsequently BAYSIDE SUMMERS is another one of Melissa Foster’s spin off series from both the Love in Bloom and Seaside Summers series but can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Several characters and couples cross over for cohesion and familiarity. Told from dual third person perspectives (Violet and Andre) BAYSIDE ESCAPE follows the second chance romance between Dr. Andre Shaw, and artist/inn owner Violet Vancroft. Two years earlier, Violet volunteering overseas fell in love with Dr. Andre Shaw but a call from her sister found our heroine disappearing without a trace, breaking Andre’s heart in the process. Fast forward to present day wherein Violet will come face to face with her past, at her sister’s wedding. Enter Dr. Andre Shaw, the man with whom Violet fell in love. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Andre and Violet, and the potential fall-out as Andre’s time back in the States, comes with an expiry date. Andre Shaw hasn’t stopped looking for Violet Vancroft but was caught unaware of her true identity. Meeting Violet at aher sister’s wedding brought with it painful memories of loss and heartbreak. The premise is fun, fast paced, inviting and entertaining ; the characters are sexy, sassy, and energetic; the romance is seductive, spicy and provocative. BAYSIDE ESCAPE is an animated, lively and spirited story line of second chances.

Hands down this is my favorite Bayside couple by far, and I have loved them all, but Violet and Andre hit bullseye with all the feels. I loved every minute of their story. Their powerful feelings instantly begin to stir deep inside as they are unexpectedly reunited at Desiree and Rick's wedding. Andre's pain and sense of loss since losing Violet previously is really quite overwhelming. Both confused on how things ended before, their infectious feelings for each other go from pain and built up tension to the deepest longing that simply oozes of the pages in to your heart, so clear, so emotional. Violet has so many walls surrounding her from years of feeling hurt, unloved, and abandoned that she copes by putting up a hard exterior and comes out with some awesome wise cracks to cover how she really feels deep down. She's a girl who speaks her mind with no second thoughts, tact and diplomacy go right out of the window. I liked Vi before but I came to love her so much after this. Andre is heaven sent, he gently and lovingly chips away at her battle amour with love and encouragement to allow her softer, vulnerable side to appear here and there. With patience, which Andre will have, there's no doubt in my mind that theirs is a beautiful love waiting to grow stronger day by day. They know each other so well, they have a beautiful understanding of each others wants, strength and weaknesses and how to bring the best out of each other. Gaining a better understanding of Lizza's ways was another plus point, even though alien to most people, I could see how her thought pattern worked and how she could perceive her actions as good intentions. Emotional in parts, fun in others, this was such an uplifting and enjoyable read, when I finished I was left with a full heart and a smile on my face.
