***5 ‘Sugar Rush’ Stars*** O.M.G the swoons and feels are all kinds of real with this one. Not that I expected any less since we are talking about the Whiskey clan in general and all that, but I actually did the whole blink-blink no there is no excess moisture threatening to fall over my lower lashes thing. This book just did it for me on all fronts and left me in the weird limbo of being absolutely satisfied and still wanting more. So where to start and NOT become verbal vomit-y?? (Probably too late, but…) Bullet is a Whiskey through and through. He speaks his mind aka blunt as all get out, does his best to always be honest and is probably one of the most overprotective Alpha AF males you’ll ever meet, but he’s haunted by his past and the guilt that comes from it weighs heavily on his heart and soul. I adored Bullet for all the above reasons and more because his heart is so golden it’s blinding, but man, is he stubborn so much so that not even a titanium pipe to the head would break his tunnel vision. Finley has moxie and is that intriguing combination of sassy, sweet, naive and determined that keeps you on your toes and want to know what her next move will be. I adored Finley on so many levels, she cooks and bakes, so the food lover in me was all kinds of happy, but it was how open she was and wasn’t afraid to put herself out there and figure things out on her own that I truly admired. The one thing that I did have to wrestle with was her own special brand of verbal vomiting, I know I do it so I should be okay with it, but we are all different and even I had my moments of needing her to just chill. <b> ~ ‘Lollipop & Brutus’ ~ </b> If you love opposites attract romances where the couple in question couldn’t be more different on the surface, but find that they had a more in common than could have ever known, then you will absolutely adore Bullet & Finley’s journey to their HEA. They pushed each other’s comfort zones in such a way that while it made them both uncomfortable, it also made them stronger because of it. The smexy was HAWT and I really enjoyed just how they fit together without getting lost in each other. Their journey has its fair share of bumps, but nothing overly angsty and I liked how they navigated their way through it all. Obviously, I’m fangirling and kinda verbal vomiting, so I’ll cut myself off soon, but I do have to mention the Whiskey clan and those that apart of their inner circle because they play a large part in why I adore these book. The family dynamic jumps off the page and I love the depth that each one brings to the story. I don’t have a clear favorite because they are all so much fun, but Tinkerbell definitely stole my heart and Kennedy is an absolute doll. The Whiskey Family is tough, tattooed, and run a biker club. I love everything about them. Along with all of that they are true to themselves, have strong family values, and work hard for what they want. Driving Whiskey Wild is Bullet’s story. He is fighting so many demons. PTSD from what he saw and experienced in war is the cause of many of his issues. Bullet just needs the right woman to help him beat those demons. I like that both Bullet and Finlay have experienced life. They have had rough times and still managed to come out on the otherside. They are not privileged, they have had to work to earn their way in the world. They both have reasons for not feeling like they could be loved again. Together Bullet and Finlay just make sense. They can understand each other, support each other, and love each other because they are alike in so many ways. If you are familiar with Melissa Foster and are looking for a sweet, loving, tender book Driving Whiskey Wild is not it. This is a hardcore, in your face, tough book. There are many sweet, loving, and tender moments but there is also a lot of swearing and hard conversations being had.

4.5 Star Review of Driving Whiskey Wild (The Whiskeys #3) by Melissa Foster The third book in the series and was just as strong and interesting as the previous books. Told with dual POV’s I really liked the main characters of (Brandon) Bullet and (Finlay) Fins. This series is all about the Whiskey family and their close friends. It is a s story of love, hope and friendship, of family, not always related by blood and one which I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s true when they say that opposites attract and such is the case with Bullet and Finlay. Both have been damaged by loss and yet through it all they are both determined to love and protect their family and friends. Finlay brought out the vulnerable and tender side of Bullet and some of the scenes were heartbreakingly beautiful to read. Melissa Foster did a great job of covering a variety of issues including PTSD, grief, survivors guilt and more.Driving Whiskey Wild is a story that shows how time and love can heal and help a person to find happiness again. As I have found with the other books in this series, the characters were well written,yet flawed, making them easy to relate to on numerous levels. I particularly enjoy the banter between the friends as Bullet and Finlay slowly explore their feelings as their relationship gains momentum. Driving Whiskey Wild has a great deal of humour and romance that will bring a smile to your face. I cannot wait for more in this series and I believe up next is Uncle Boney’s story.
