This vintage book comprises Daniel Defoe's 1922 novel, "Memoirs of a Cavalier". One of his more obscure works, this novel tells the tale of a young English nobleman who embarks on a quest to traverse the continent with a friend and see the world. It is written in the style of a memoir, and one that appears so authentic that it fooled many a contemporary into thinking that it was a genuine account. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are thus republishing this classic work in an affordable, high quality, modern edition - complete with a specially commissioned biography of the author.
