關於作者

About the Author I appreciate all the cowboys and ranchers I worked with over these many years. It has been a pleasant ride and a lot of fun most of the time. Also, thanks to the wives and girlfriends of the cowboys for the early morning breakfasts and for bringing dinner to us where we were working—usually served from the back of a pickup to a bunch of hungry cowboys. It was so nice to know that your stomach wasn’t going to eat your backbone! I graduated from Texas A&M in animal science. I learned a lot, but they didn’t teach me anything about working cattle, dragging calves, or how to get on a young horse. I learned all that at the university of hard knocks. It had been entertaining! I figure we worked about three thousand plus during the spring and fall and thousands of cattle branding and shipping. Made lots of short nights, long days, and tired cowboys. In the fall, we worked every day for about two-and-a-half months. I have good memories of those times. I’m so glad I was there because I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2003, and later, I could not lift my leg high enough to put my foot in the stirrup. I am so thankful for the memories that I took with me. I would also like to thank my dad for giving me the chance to follow my dreams . . . www.texas_cowboy@amaonline.com
