Very relieved that the book wasn't written by Connelly of Harry Bosch fame though that's the only reason I bought it. Writing wasn't too bad - good but not great. The way over the top estimation of US war-time exploits and historical inaccuracies was grating.

This is actually by Michael R. Connelly, an attorney and teacher of constitutional law who had a practice in Baton Rouge, LA for many, many years (I used to work for him). Please, when righting a description of a book, make sure you have the right author. This is not the crime novel author with the same first and last names.
