A satisfactory 'mid season finale' episode for the Rovan sub series. The PIT team gets out of their depth in multiple ways, which serves both as a justification for shuffling up the cast members, and as impetus for potential character arc directions. McCloskey continues to show a knack for hypothesising novel alien psychologies and cultural features, as well as thoughtfully integrating multiple past discoveries such as acquired technologies into the dynamic conflict scenarios played out by the PIT teams.
