Very good book. I found it helpful because there seemed to be new ways to look at old topics. However, the book is somewhat outdated, so I think it has to be bought in conjunction with something else. It's a strong foundation, but you will want to complement it with a more modern look at college admissions with more financial aid stuff.
About the author
Michele A. Hernandez graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in 1989. She served as an assistant director of admissions at Dartmouth College from 1992 to 1997. Currently, she is the president of Hernandez College Consulting LLC, one of the nation's leading firms on helping students gain admission into top colleges.
