I originally got this series by accident as didn't see the YA tag and i am so glad i continued to read the series. The writing in each books has improved and i felt that this was the best book in the series. An intense and dramatic storyline that culminates in this final book with Ari and Orion overcoming the numerous obstacles. The Crucial Shift is a phenomenal conclusion to the Ariane Trilogy. The storyline picks right up where the Somber Call (book 2) ends. This trilogy series focuses on Orion and Ariane's story. Ariane is the center, and in The Crucial Shift, many secrets are revealed and mysteries resolved. Drama and action abound, as does steamy romance, suspense, and humor. The book is a page-turner, and the storyline and characters are engaging and compelling. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout.

we're still going strong in the third book of the Ariane Trilogy series, it had a great atmosphere to it and the characters worked overall. i enjoyed how good the plot was going and it worked well in the series.
