About this ebook

From bestselling author Michelle MacQueen comes a new sweet small town best friend's brother romance perfect for fans of Elana Johnson, Rachel Hanna, and Anne Marie Meyer.

She's the firefighting do-gooder…

… and he's her best friend's younger brother.

How did she end up lip-locked with the awkward guy she's known her whole life?

Divorce isn't supposed to be like this. Marlee Blaine is finally free of the expectations, the disappointments. But dating isn't as easy as it once was. When she finds herself on the worst date of her life, she needs a safe way out.

Aidan James has always been safe, always played by the rules. He's spent his life as the sidekick in everyone else's story. Talking to women, or people in general, is anything but easy. So, when his sister's best friend kisses him in the middle of a crowded bar, his life goes haywire.

It doesn't mean anything to her, not like it does to him. Yet, when she comes to him in need again, he can't say no. This time, she wants his computer skills to help her promote the town's annual charity gala, a royal ball. Spending time with her is dangerous. Getting to know her away from his sister threatens to set fire to both their worlds.

The firefighter and the computer nerd shouldn't make sense. It can't feel this good.

If they're not careful, they'll both end up burned.

Escape into this sweet romance that will give you all the feels. Always a Hero is the fifth book in the Always in Love series. Enjoy small town beach life with sweet and swoony men, strong-willed women, and family ties that can't be broken.

Whilst Aiden has always had a thing for Marlee after they grew up together due to Marlee being best friends with his sisters. It isn't until Aiden kisses her so she can get rid of an awful date that she really start to look at him in a different way. I loved how much all their friends love them and how Mitch stayed friends with Marlee after the divorce from his brother, although all being friends makes things a bit awkward and the risk of ruining friendships.

Always a Hero by Michelle MacQueen is a good, and enjoyable sweet small town best friends brother romance read. The story has a good story line, the story moves fluidly, and well written read. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. This is Aidan and Marlee's story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Always a Hero is about Aidan and Marlee. Aidan is Johnnys best friend from the 4th book. Marlee is divorced and looking to date again. Unfortunately one of her dates ends with a creep and her kissing Aidan to get away from him. One kiss is all it takes for them to develop feelings for each other and wanting to continue seeing each other. I loved how these two worked even though they were opposites(didn’t seem like they would work). I highly recommend this series!!

About the author

Michelle is just a golden retriever mom living on a family compound in rural Ohio. A simple, sweet life filled with writing days, her pup, and plenty of iced chai tea lattes.

She writes a variety of things including fantasy romance, sweet contemporary romance, spicy romance, and has even dabbled in dystopian. She believes changing things up and taking risks stretches her writing muscles and makes her a better author.

But more than that, writing about various human experiences helps her be a better daughter, a better aunt, a better sister, and a better friend.
