No flow, hard to follow relevance of non essential conversation which seemed like page filler, missing real character and scene establishment. Holes everywhere - like I was reading the middle of a book instead of the beginning. Maybe a good story but too insulted by the parochial writing to continue.

Michelle Styles writes warm, witty and intimate historical romance in a range of periods including Viking and early Victorian. Born and raised near San Francisco, California, she currently lives near Hadrian's Wall in the UK with her husband, menagerie of pets and occasionally one of her three university-aged children.
