Well, that was quick. A pretty good little story (novella length) set in the not too distant future. This is the first 'In Death' story I've read. I like the characters of Eve Dallas and Roarke, the rest were kind of meh. Eve seems very strong willed and driven, so it's probably a good thing that her husband is equally as strong willed and driven otherwise that relationship would get annoying fast. She seems to like to push her weight around a some. A little bit of sex, which didn't really need to be there, but it at least didn't take away from the story even if it didn't enhance it. It seemed quite similar to J.A. Jance, but the characters weren't quite as annoying, didn't make obviously bad decisions. The technology wasn't all that futuristic, but enough that I don't see us being there by the time 2058 rolls around. All the working from home did seem a little odd. I've known officers, usually plain clothes officer, to work from home, but not to such an extent. The eBook was formatted well with no obvious errors.

Even though you knew the killer, the chase was exciting and had you on the edge of your seat!
