Wheeling and dealing to make the acquisitions in spite of many pitfalls and challenges, he gradually begins to acquire a diverse range of companies while, at the same time, managing his convoluted love life, with affairs aplenty, as well as dealing with a personal health issue. But following his divorce and now having passed sixty, he is becoming disenchanted with his convoluted single lifestyle and yearns for the comfort and satisfaction of married life again.
About the author
Mike Upton is a retired businessman who, for many years, worked extensively in industry as chief executive or managing director in separate running companies in Britain and America. He also worked in Europe, Africa, and South America. This is his ninth novel and again draws from his extensive personal knowledge of how major companies operate. Mike lives in Norfolk in the east of England and has been happily married to Brenda for forty-seven years. He has two grownup daughters and one granddaughter.
