This is a stand-alone with an HEA, but at 94 pages, it feels rushed and lots of background info is missing. The romance aspects are complete, but the intrigue aspects are left wanting. As if the writer had an idea for a scene, wrote it, but had no idea how the idea had previously come about or progressed to the point where the scene occurred. It felt like I had missed something from a previous book. Jax is another issue like this as well. If it means reading other books, I doubt I'll find out.

Not bad for a free book but certainly not something worth paying for. It has a sloppy, slapped together kind of feeling to it. A shame, the writer has some raw talent.
