Seacliff Manor has harbored evil for over a century. A house built out of love by a man for his wife in the 1800's ends up being a nightmare for all those that have lived in it since. I looked at this book as a 3 act play. The first act deals with a young married couple who inherit Seacliff Manor from a long lost relative of the husband. It is bad shape so the wife is overseeing the restoration while her husband is away for weeks at a time for his job. After her younger sister come for a visit they both notice strange things happening around the house. After those things get more violent the sister calls a pair of paranormal researchers. The second act is the paranormal researchers and their equipment assistant. After they set up their video equipment and see for themselves that there are defiantly spirits in the house they do a room by room search which almost ends up in tragedy for one of the paranormal researchers. It is after this that they realize they need to call The Thibodeux Foundation for assistance. This then kicks off the third and final act of the story. The Thibodeux Foundation send a demonologist and psychometrist to Seacliff Manor. Together the two teams figure out what exactly is haunting Seacliff Manor and learn of the many people it has murdered who have been trapped in the house – some for a 100 years. When the wife becomes possessed by the evil spirit they know they have to rid the house once and for all of the demon. There were defiantly some thrilling, scary scenes through out the story and the history of Seacliff Manor was fascinating but the three parts to the story (what I am choosing to call them) didn't flow well. The story felt choppy in places especially during the changing between the main characters – Brandon and Alyssa Barnett and Courtney (married couple and the sister), the paranormal researchers Jane Spencer, Tim Reeves and Danny and then Jake Spaulding (demonologist) and Sara Crow (psychometrist). Overall though I love this series and this was another great spooky read.

Spirited Paranormal Horror I received an ARC of this book from the author for a fair and honest review. Once again, author Morgan Hannah MacDonald has hit the ball out of the park! This fourth book in The Spirit Series is another masterful paranormal, eerie, can't put the book down, story. A young couple, Brandon and Alyssa Barnett, from Kansas inherit a historic estate in beautiful San Diego, CA from the Brandon's fourth cousin Vera MacDougall; perfect timing since Brandon just accepted an awesome promotion from his employer which requires him to move to that area. Brandon's wife, Alyssa is suspicious from the beginning, you know the old adage, if it's too good to be true it usually is, but wants to support her husband's dreams. From day 1 Alyssa doesn't like the house. This monstrosity has been let go for years, how will they ever bring it back to life and turn it into a bed and breakfast, which is Brandon's grand scheme? Especially with Brandon gone all the time. When Alyssa's little sister Courtney comes to visit, Alyssa is relieved and dismayed all at the same time. Although she won't admit it to herself, when Courtney starts talking about the house being haunted, Alyssa starts recounting strange things that she's seen, felt, or heard. As Alyssa appears to be spiraling down, they find a strange hidden room in the house, and from that point on the "strange" happenings get worse. Courtney takes matters into her own hands when she realizes neither her sister, nor brother-in-law are taking this "haunting stuff" seriously and contacts local paranormal investigators Tim Reeves and Jane Spencer. It doesn't take but 1 visit for this team to realize they are in way over their heads! Jane calls the Thibodeux Foundation for assistance and they send Jake Spaulding and Sara Crow. This book is packed with action, horror, and even a little romance just to keep you on your toes. You KNOW it's a good book when this reader works full time and still managed to read this book in less than 3 days!

AWESOME – COULDN’T PUT THE BOOK DOWN! I have just finished reading Hannah Morgan MacDonald’s new book Spirits at Seacliff Manor. I did receive an ARC copy of the book, but all comments are my own. This book hooks you in on page one and holds you until the end. This has to be Morgan’s best novel thus far. The book centers around a couple who have inherited an old manor and hope to turn into a bread and breakfast but soon encounter ghosts and unfortunately a very wicked demon who plays havoc on those plans. The demon is a threat to all humans who come in contact to the house. The author does a great job writing this in believable detail. Mix that up with a little infidelity and a new love (or two) on the side and you have the makings of a great book. Morgan has created a book that has great character interaction, an intense plot, fully of mystery, evil and action. I recommend you get this book and be prepared to be pulled in to the world of hauntings, ghosts and demons. Just a word of warning, you may want to sleep with your lights on for night or two.
