Valkyrie, preferably known as Pepper, is forced by circumstance to move to Harbour Bay where her elderly and eccentric aunts run a bed and breakfast. Events unfold that teach her more about herself and the world around her than she really wanted to know. Wonderful characters, great humor with a murder thrown in. Can't wait to read more.

I didn't think I would like this book because it has vampires and werewolves, but since it was free - and by an author I like - I decided to give it a try. Well, it's not your typical shifter and vampire story, first of all. Second, the storyline is pretty unique from the other stories I've read.

Morgana Best does cozy super natural mysteries the way nobody else can. This one delivers on all counts - crazy relatives, strange goings-on in the community and even a little romance. If you like fun and frothy mysteries with exotic settings (Australia) then pick up Witches' Brew. Be warned, however, that this is the first book in a series and that nothing really major gets resolved, or at least, not yet.

About the author

 Best selling Aussie author, Morgana Best, grew up leaving Tim Tams for the fairies at the bottom of her garden. A former college professor, Morgana enjoys big bowls of pasta, not working out, and visiting the local lighthouse, where she tries to spot the white Humpback whale.
