About this eBook

THE PREQUEL TO THE VIDEO GAME PHENOMENON IS HERE! For years, a tenuous peace has existed between the realms, time enough for old champions to fall and a new generation to rise. But peace can never last for long . . . The Thunder God Raiden has seen visions of a great evil entering our world, one so powerful it could change the very face of the universe. The one hope to stop the sinister force lies in six ancient relics, mystical blades imbued with the Blood Magick of the One Being—the Kamidogu daggers. But Raiden and his allies are not the only ones searching for the all-powerful weapons. Another has spent years acquiring each blade through cunning and guile. For not only can the Kamidogu daggers contain a god, they also have the power to create one . . . Kombatants old and new will fight for the future of our realm and the realms beyond in this red-hot debut by writer Shawn Kittelsen. Together with artists Dexter Soy (DC UNIVERSE VS MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE) and Veronica Gandini (JUSTICE LEAGUE BEYOND 2.0), they’ll start this action-packed newest chapter in the Mortal Kombat saga off with a bloodbath!

I will change to 5 stars if devs can help. My game gets stuck on the scorpion loading screen and only the scorpion loading screen and i cant do anything ultimately leading me to force close and reboot the app. Also when it gets stuck on the scorpion loading screen the game still seems to be working because if i tap around it will say the names of the characters i am selecting. I will also be trying to contact you guys another way. PLEASE HELP it is so frustrating. Will be waiting to hear from you. Thanks for the time and patience. Ryan

I do not know how many pages of filler or what exactly makes up the 40+ pages of the $0.99 issues of this, but this being only a little over $4.50 is such an amazing deal for much more than just four of those original issues. I can't wait for the next compilation to come out so I can get another great deal for this awful comic.

Marco Polo the Netflix Original mentions Genghis Khan, Mortal Kombat has Shao Kahn. The price, pages and bubble zoom are a success with this volume and the other MK comics. Dragon Ball comics are not better, but that's just my opinion. With that being out there, Mortal Kombat has to supply the animated demand, maybe just mines. MK Defenders of the Realm is not enough to compare to DB and their animated series. Battle of the Realms and Scorpion's Revenge are films more to my liking instead of the actual Mortal Kombat film that premiered not too long ago. I just don't want to purchase the film on Google TV or anything like that for that matter. These comics, this is what I am after! Even outside of the fighting genre where gamers get excited over a game like GTA it's difficult disliking MK as a video game on console or as an app installed on a device. MK has to out-do Street Fighter, Tekken and the aforementioned Dragon Ball. "Be Sub-Zero" - anonymous
