About this ebook

Love will launch the mother of all battles.

You’d think as a witch I could wiggle my nose and solve all my problems, but my life is a five-alarm dumpster fire. Not only have I failed to restore Rick’s mind from damage caused by an evil witch’s spell, but the side effects make him unable to act as my caretaker. To make matters worse, compensating for his absence in the graveyard could cost me the nursing job I love and the strength I need to keep evil at bay.

When I’m caught off guard by a new supernatural threat, a vampire ally saves my life. Only his help comes at a price. My assailant's calling card makes it clear I’m marked for death, possibly by my very own goddess mother. With the help of my half-sister Polina, can I gain the power I need to win Rick back? Or am I destined for one of the graves in my backyard?

What a fantastic ending to Grateful and Rick's story by the extremely talented Genevieve Jack. This book picks up where Queen of The Hill left off. Grateful has control over two elements and Rick still does not remember their past together. This leaves Grateful to do the nightly patrols by herself. When she sets out to save a woman she sees in the mirror being killed, Grateful is attacked by silver haired Goblins. With the help of friends, she survives the attack. But who has put a price on her head and why. Grateful and Polina feel they must visit their mother the Goddess Hecate, to get some answers. Thus the journey for answers begins for Grateful and along the way she and Rick renew their relationship. I could not put this book down, I had to read it to the finish. It is a fantastical journey through the world of paranormal. With all of Grateful loyal friends on the journey with her. I did not see the ending coming and it fit so perfectly into Grateful's journey. A book I have been waiting for that did not let me down. I highly recommend Mother May I and the whole Knight Games Series as well as anything written by Genevieve Jack. Get these books and start reading today.

Reminds me of Charlene Harris's series...just as entertaining and addicting although the world and life of Grateful Knight is completely unique and nothing less than fantastic! Thank you for such great reading...looking forward to reading the next book...Logan...and hoping to discover more in the near future ...Julius? Silas? The Fae? Each character is so interesting and perfectly created....I am one fan that looks forward to running my credit card for every new book I can get my hands on!

About the author

USA Today bestselling author Genevieve Jack writes weird, witty, and wicked-hot paranormal romance and fantasy. Coffee and wine are her biofuel, the love lives of witches, shifters, and vampires her favorite topic of conversation. She harbors a passion for old cemeteries and ghost tours, thanks to her years attending a high school rumored to be haunted. Although originally from the Midwest, she now adores the beaches of the southeast where she spends her days with her laptop and one lazy dog. Learn more at GenevieveJack.com.
