About this ebook

Supplicating to Allah is the primary essence of worship and an integral part of every believer’s life. It is one of the most effective ways of building a strong connection with the Creator. Throughout the day, a believer should be in constant mode of asking Allah for his or her needs, whether big or small. Supplicating to Allah can be done in one’s own words and in any language. However, the supplications/prayers (ad’iya) taught to us in the Qur’an and Sunna are unique and contain special spiritual benefits. Each supplication (du’a) holds oceans of meanings within itself. As such, one should memorise them with the translation, and form a habit to recite them at the various junctures of ones life.

Given the importance, many scholars - both in the past and present - have collected these supplications for the benefit of Muslims. The book in your hand titled “Radiant Prayers” was written approximately 20 years ago by one of the greatest living scholars, Shaykh al-Islam Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani (may Allah protect him) in Urdu. It was subsequently translated into English and published in Pakistan. Turath Publishing now has the honour of presenting its readers with a revised translation of this beautiful collection of prayers from the Qur’an and Sunna with full referencing to their original sources. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to include them into our daily lives, Ameen.
